Tennis great Sir Andy Murray got more than he bargained for at the Kooyong Classic on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

\ufeffThe veteran Scot thought he had finished his media commitments for the day after losing 6-3, 7-5 to Croatia's Marin Cilic in Melbourne.<\/p>\n

But David Basheer had other ideas as he wrapped up his on court interview with Murray for SBS.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"Great to see you down here and I think Pat Cash will ask you questions in commentary if you're up for it?" Basheer said.<\/p>\n

"I thought only the winner had to do that?" a bemused Murray said.<\/p>\n

"You never know. We make the rules as we go along," Basheer replied to a faux outraged Murray, who had to put plans for an ice bath on hold.<\/p>\n

\"Andy<\/p>\n

"That was one of the advantages to losing, is not doing all the extra press stuff," Murray quipped.<\/p>\n

But the 36-year-old was a good sport and donned the headset for a commentary stint at the start of the Holger Rune\ufeff vs Karen Khachanov match.<\/p>\n

"Thank you for spending time with us," Australian great Cash said.<\/p>\n

\"Andy<\/p>\n

"You really didn't want to or need to. We appreciate it."<\/p>\n

Paul McNamee later joked that doing extras in the commentary \ufeffbox was Murray's "penalty for getting a knighthood."<\/p>\n

"You have to do that stuff. Knight in shining armour, you do stuff when you lose," McNamee said.<\/p>\n
