E\ufefflena Rybakina<\/a> has been crowned the Brisbane International<\/a> women's singles champion after dominating Aryna Sabalenka<\/a> in the final.<\/p>\n

Sabalenka, the reigning Australian Open champion<\/a>, was held to love in the first set with the final scoreline reading 6-0, 6-3\ufeff.<\/p>\n

After her loss, the 25-year-old produced an iconic interview, having a dig at herself for such an emphatic result. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"First of all Elena, woah, that was an interesting match, \ufeffgreat job," she laughed.<\/p>\n

"Thank you for those three games at least we made it look like a fight, good job congrats to you and your team on an amazing week."<\/p>\n

However, a jovial Sabalenka wasn't laying the blame all on herself. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"Couple of words to my team, you did a bad job today," she laughed.<\/p>\n

"Six\ufeff love, six three, that's all your fault guys.<\/p>\n

"No, it's \ufeffbeen an amazing week for us, as well, of course, we thought we would finish this week differently, but it is how it is.<\/p>\n

"I think we showed some great tennis and hopefully we'll do better at the Australian Open."<\/p>\n

The laughs in the crowd continued during Rybakina's acceptance speech when she congratulated Sabalenka's team before the latter interjected saying "No, congrats".<\/p>\n

"They're doing a good job, no matter what Aryna says," Rybakina responded.<\/p>\n

"You're doing a really good job and I really enjoy playing you no matter the result."<\/p>\n

Before the laughs, the champion expressed her hope to meet Sabalenka in the Australian Open, having lost to her in the grand slam decider last year.<\/p>\n

"First I would \ufefflike to say congrats to Aryna for a great week and also a great season last year and hopefully we meet in the Open," she said.<\/p>\n
