Sanchez is a top-10 player in the country in his class.<\/p>\n<p>A 6-foot-2, 170-pound defensive back from North Shore High School (Houston, Texas), Sanchez is the No. 6 player in the nation <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/db\/devin-sanchez-150783\/\">in the On3 Industry Rankings.<\/a> He held offers from <a href=\"https:\/\/buckeyeswire.usatoday.com\/\">Ohio State<\/a> as well as <a href=\"https:\/\/rolltidewire.usatoday.com\/\">Alabama<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/longhornswire.usatoday.com\/\">Texas<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Sanchez&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maxpreps.com\/tx\/houston\/north-shore-mustangs\/football\/schedule\/\">North Shore finished their season 15-1.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Sanchez made his announcement on Saturday afternoon from the All-American Bowl. The All-American Bowl is held annually at the Alamodome (San Antonio, Texas).<\/p>\n<p>Ohio State currently has the eighth-best recruiting class in the nation for the 2025 cycle <a href=\"https:\/\/n.rivals.com\/team_rankings\/2025\/all-teams\/football\/recruiting\">according to Rivals<\/a>. Last year, they had the fifth-best class in the nation.<\/p>\n<p>Despite being up early, the West nearly gave up the lead (and the game) on Saturday afternoon.
