Alexander Zverev<\/a> was left frustrated at a decision by umpire Renaud Lichtenstein after complaining about Alex de Minaur<\/a> grunting during a point in their United Cup<\/a> clash.<\/p>\n

At 15-0 in the second game of the second set\ufeff<\/a>, the Australian won a point during which he let out a loud grunt as Zverev attempted to return the shot.<\/p>\n

Zverev then approached the umpire in frustration, sayying he was hindered by de Minaur.<\/p>\n

"He grunted until I hit the ball," Zverev said.<\/p>\n

However, the umpire didn't believe it warranted a penalty. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"His grunt was longer than usual … (but) no it wasn't (a hindrance) Alexander," Lichtenstein said.<\/p>\n

Australian tennis legend Wally Masur believed it was a hindrance but was split on the umpire's adjudication.<\/p>\n

"The umpire there, good on him, (but) I think he choked a bit on that one," he said on Nine's coverage.<\/p>\n

Jim Courier supported the merit behind Zverev's protest but didn't think it was intentional from de Minaur. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"That's 100 per cent a hindrance\ufeff," he added.<\/p>\n

"De Minaur \ufeffwasn't trying to bother (him), but he's that quick he got there. That should have been Zverev's point."<\/p>\n
