P\ufeffoland has advanced to the final of the United Cup<\/a>, with world No.1 Iga Swiatek<\/a> producing a stunning comeback against France's Caroline Garica to secure their spot in Sunday's decider.<\/p>\n

After losing the first \ufeffset to Garcia, the top-ranked female player bounced back convincingly, surging home to win the final two sets with relative ease, resulting in a 4-6 6-1 6-1 triumph.<\/p>\n

Swiatek had some pressure alleviated before her match after teammate Hubert Hurkacz won in straight sets against Adrian Mannarino earlier in the afternoon at Ken Rosewall Arena.<\/p>\n

After giving up the first set, Swiatek revealed some quick adjustments allowed her to find her mojo and come home strong against a quality opponent.<\/p>\n

"It wasn't an easy match," she said on Nine's broadcast.<\/p>\n

"There was a lot of tension and also the crowd was so loud that you really needed to stay focused and not think about anything else.<\/p>\n

"I needed to calm down a little bit and not rush it. I also needed to observe the ball a bit more. I felt like sometimes I was off the timing.<\/p>\n

\"Iga<\/p>\n

"Maybe because we have come from Perth – but for sure, I needed some time to adjust and I did that.<\/p>\n

"I'm really happy I came back and I didn't make as many mistakes as the first set … I'm happy we're through to the final."<\/p>\n

Hurkacz had a much easier run in his singles leg against \ufeffMannarino, taking out the first set 6-3 and following it up with a hard-fought 7-5 effort in the second.<\/p>\n
