N\ufeffovak Djokovic<\/a> has played down wrist worries after his 6-1, 6-7, 6-1 United Cup win over Czech Republic's Jiri Lehecka<\/a>, despite pulling out of Serbia's mixed doubles match.<\/p>\n

Djokovic \ufeffpulled up sore during the first set against Lehecka, being continually attended to by team physios and then calling for a medical timeout in between sets. \ufeff<\/p>\n

The 24-time grand slam champion brushed off concerns post-match, saying he would utilise his break to recover before facing Australia's Alex de Minaur in the quarter-finals on Wednesday night.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"It happened in the warm-up today before the match. I basically got constant treatment before the match, during the match, after the match, trying to address the issue that I'm facing today," Djokovic said.<\/p>\n

"It's not the first time that I've faced these kind of circumstances. At such a high level of professional tennis and professional sport in general, these things happen.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"I think it's not a major concern\ufeff because I still managed to finish the match and still managed to play it well.<\/p>\n

"Hopefully I'll have enough time to recover before tomorrow's tie against Australia that is in the afternoon hours, so more time for us (to recover).\ufeff"<\/p>\n

Djokovic \ufeffhelped Serbia to a 2-1 victory over the Czech Republic, after teammate Olga Danilovic was defeated by Marketa Vondrousova (6-1, 3-6, 6-3).<\/p>\n

After 36-year-old Djokovic's stirring victory, Serbia's mixed doubles pair,\ufeff Danilovic and Hamad Medjedovic, went on to win 4-6, 7-6, 10-8.<\/p>\n

"It's more responsibility\ufeff, bigger burden as well, especially if you're playing in this kind of format, playing 0-1 (down), when you have to win," Djokovic told Nine post-match.<\/p>\n

"It's a great team spirit, we're building a great team chemistry\ufeff."<\/p>\n
