Bulldogs forward Adam Elliott looks set to escape any punishment for his involvement in the bizarre 'love triangle' with former teammate Michael Lichaa's partner last weekend<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Lichaa caught Elliott in a highly compromising position with his partner, Kara Childerhouse, after a drunken house-warming party.<\/p>\n

The former Bulldogs hooker flew into a rage, was arrested by police and charged with common assault (domestic violence), destroying or damaging property (domestic violence) and stalking\/intimidation causing fear of physical harm (domestic violence).<\/p>\n

The Bulldogs reported the incident to the NRL Integrity Unit and when the facts became known, Elliott was attacked on social media for his role in the affair.<\/p>\n

The tough second-rower has been involved in two previous off-field incidents and there were calls for punishment.<\/p>\n

But the Bulldogs look set to let the incident slide – unless the Integrity Unit rules otherwise.<\/p>\n

"At the end of the day it wasn't something we condone but he (Elliott) didn't break any laws," a Bulldogs source told Wide World of Sports.<\/p>\n

"Hopefully he learned a lesson from it – our attitude is that he just gets back to training and moves on.<\/p>\n

"He won't be talking to the media or anything like that – that won't achieve anything.<\/p>\n

"Unless the NRL decides otherwise, we will just try to forget about it."<\/p>\n
