Not one to shy away from showing his emotions on the court, Novak Djokovic<\/a> has exploded in an all-time blow-up during his quarter-final against Alexander Zverev<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Djokovic has endured a frustrating opening week at Melbourne Park, dropping at least a set in every one of his matches from the second round onward, while also fighting an abdominal injury<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The world No.1's temper has reared its ugly head on a number of occasions so far this summer, and appeared once again in the third set against Zverev.<\/p>\n

After the pair split the first two sets of the match, Zverev found himself up a break in the third, taking a 4-1 lead after saving a break point on his own serve.<\/p>\n

Following a tightly-contested Zverev service game, Djokovic blew his top, smashing his racquet four times on the court before throwing it away as he walked to his bench.<\/p>\n

The explosive outburst left the commentary team stunned on Nine's coverage of the Australian Open.<\/p>\n

"There is a little frustration, most likely from the big second serve and the line form the last point," American tennis great Jim Courier said.<\/p>\n

\"Novak<\/p>\n

"Probably expresses a lot that's been bottled up from everything else that's gone on in this tournament from him. He got his money's worth on that one." <\/p>\n

"He went hard, didn't he," Lleyton Hewitt added. "It is a build-up for sure from the last week or so."<\/p>\n

Djokovic's outburst was so explosive that a ballgirl was forced to pick up the debris from his racquet minutes afterwards with a dustpan.<\/p>\n

Incredibly, after looking down and out of the third set, Djokovic sprung to life immediately after his blow-up, taking the next five games in a row to take the third set off a "shell-shocked" Zverev, 6-4.<\/p>\n
