Australian superstar Glenn Maxwell<\/a> has declared young Melbourne Renegades<\/a> batsman Jake Fraser-McGurk as one of the BBL<\/a>'s best, after the 21-year-old blasted a 21-ball half-century.<\/p>\n

Fraser-McGurk couldn't help the Renegades overcome the Brisbane Heat at Marvel Stadium on Thursday night, but still impressed Maxwell, who recently scored one of the greatest double-centuries of all time during Australia's victorious ODI World Cup campaign.<\/p>\n

\ufeffIt comes just months after the South Australian Redbacks batsman brought up the fastest-ever white-ball century<\/a>, smashing 100 runs off just 29 balls in the Marsh One-Day Cup against Tasmania<\/a>.<\/p>\n

"No one in Australia is better to watch than Fraser-McGurk. Easily the most talented young batter in the country. His potential doesn't actually have a ceiling. #rooster," Maxwell posted to X, formerly known as Twitter, on Thursday night.<\/p>\n

Fraser-McGurk went on to make \ufeff55 off just 23 balls, headlined by a whopping eight boundaries, seven of them sixes.<\/p>\n

"He was playing a different game to everyone else," Mike Hussey said on Fox.<\/p>\n

A humble Fraser-McGurk spoke after his side's six-wicket loss at the hands of the Heat, thanking Maxwell for singing his praises.<\/p>\n

"There's a few other good ones. Ollie Davies, the Davies brothers and Harry Dixon on that bench as well. I've had a fair bit to do with Maxi, but thanks Maxi (Maxwell), cheers," Fraser-McGurk said on Fox.<\/p>\n

He went on to \ufeffunpack his game style for the BBL season, as he looks to further impress Australian selectors.<\/p>\n
