Canberra Raiders<\/a> star Corey Harawira-Naera<\/a> has refused to call time on his NRL career despite his coach saying he is "very unlikely to play again".\ufeff<\/p>\n

Harawira-Naera's 2023 season was cut short after a mid-game seizure, and Raiders coach Ricky Stuart<\/a> indicated the 28-year-old was likely to be forced into retirement due to his health issues.<\/p>\n

"It is really sad for the kid\u2026 it's a tragedy actually," Stuart told Wide World of Sports<\/a>.<\/p>\n

"The medical reports we are getting is that he is very unlikely to play again.<\/p>\n

"At 28, that's tough and he has been good for us.<\/p>\n

"But we are supporting him and looking for a pathway for him after football.<\/p>\n

"We would like to keep him in the game and in the club."<\/p>\n

However, Harawira-Naera took to social media to address concerns.<\/p>\n

"Nothing confirmed yet whanau (family), more to come from my end," he posted on his Instagram story.<\/p>\n

\ufeffHarawira-Naera suffered the seizure against the Rabbitohs in round 13 this season<\/a> with the Raiders winning 33-26.<\/p>\n

The game was brought to a halt in the 66th minute when the forward was seen convulsing on the ground after a hit-up.<\/p>\n
