J\ufeffarome Luai<\/a> has reportedly skipped Penrith Panthers<\/a> training, only two days after he broke the news to his teammates that he'd be joining the Wests Tigers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to 9News reporter Michael Chammas, Luai missed the Monday session with suggestions he needed a break from the club after making the tough call.<\/p>\n

While it hasn't been confirmed by Luai, the Tigers or Panthers, the five-eighth has reportedly signed a $6 million five-year contract with Wests.<\/p>\n

9News Sydney's cameras captured Luai addressing his teammates on Saturday before he was congratulated by several teammates.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffLuai's representatives have since informed the club that Jarome needs time away from the club, he wouldn't be at training, to deal with the fallout of what has been rather a dramatic weekend," Chammas said on 9news Sydney.<\/p>\n

"… there's no doubt there'll be Tigers fans wondering if Jarome Luai is contemplating an early release from the reigning premiers."<\/p>\n

After The Sydney Morning Herald<\/a> broke the story around Luai's rich deal with the Tigers, the three-time premiership winner posted on Instagram that nothing was official yet.<\/p>\n
