Pakistan<\/a>'s Khurram Shahzad caught the ire of Australia fielding master Mark Waugh<\/a> after he dropped David Warner during his century<\/a>.<\/p>\n

With the opener on 104, a delivery from spinner Salman Ali Agha\ufeff was hit to Shahzad at a wide mid-on, with the catch slipping through his fingertips.<\/p>\n

Adding on to the misery, the ball trickled away for four.<\/p>\n

With Australia 2-200 at the time, Pakistan would've loved a breakthrough right before tea however the score was 2-210 at the break.<\/p>\n

Analysing the catch during the third session, Waugh was highly critical of Shahzad's effort. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"That one before tea, that's just regulation at any level of cricket, park cricket, under 10s," he said on Fox Cricket.<\/p>\n

"… This is a killer, that's a chip to mid-on, totally misjudged, looked like it was the first catch he's ever tried to take."<\/p>\n

Pakistan legend Wasim Akram described the effort as an "easy catch" while former Australian spinner Kerry O'Keeffe saw the funnier side. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"150 years of cricket and fielders are still dropping catches off spinners and pushing them to the boundary\ufeff," he laughed.<\/p>\n

It wasn't the only poor fielding effort from Pakistan's first day, with captain Shan Masood misfielding a regulation effort on the ground from the third ball of the game.<\/p>\n

Warner gently pushed the Shaheen Afridi delivery to cover, which looked to be a dot ball before Masood missed it completely and gave him a single.<\/p>\n

Earlier in Usman Khawaja's innings the opener was given a life too with Abdullah Shafique dropping him when he ran back from the slips and attempted to take a top edge.<\/p>\n

Akram believes Pakistan's effort isn't simply down to the basics of catching. \ufeff<\/p>\n
