Fans travelling to the MCG for the Boxing Day Test<\/a> are being encouraged to wear a floppy hat to honour the late Shane Warne<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Warne was known for preferring to wear the wide-brimmed floppy hat instead of the traditional baggy green.<\/p>\n

Fans are also encouraged to tip their hat at 3.50pm \u2013 a nod to Warnie's Test cap number.<\/p>\n

Cricket Australia<\/a> and the Shane Warne Legacy will also come together to provide free heart tests across the first four days of the Test.<\/p>\n

Warne died of a heart attack while on holiday in Thailand<\/a> in March 2022 aged just 52.<\/p>\n

Heart disease is the leading cause of death in men, and a significant cause in women. High blood pressure is the leading preventative risk factor for cardiovascular disease and stroke.<\/p>\n

"Shane is greatly missed here in Australia and around the world, and we are grateful to the Shane Warne Legacy and the Warne family in partnering with us to help make a positive difference in his honour," Cricket Australia chief executive Nick Hockley said.<\/p>\n

Shane Warne Legacy chief executive Helen Nolan said Warne would have encouraged everyone to "have a crack" at the tests, which take about four minutes.<\/p>\n
