The three-star wide receiver has flipped to Syracuse.<\/p>\n<p>The commitment represents a big splash from Syracuse head coach Fran Brown. From Winslow Township (Atco, New Jersey), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/db\/jaylan-hornsby-154717\/\">Hornsby is a top 10 player in the state according to On3, 247Sports and Rivals.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The 6-foot-2, 195-pound wide receiver also held offers from Duke, Illinois, Maryland, <a href=\"https:\/\/wolverineswire.usatoday.com\/\">Michigan<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/nittanylionswire.usatoday.com\/\">Penn State<\/a> and West Virginia among others.<\/p>\n<p>Hornsby posted his commitment on Sunday evening via X, the social media platform that was formerly known as Twitter. <a href=\"https:\/\/247sports.com\/Player\/jaylan-hornsby-46129676\/TimelineEvents\/\">Hornsby had been committed to Texas A&amp;M since July 1.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">D.A.R.T 100% commited <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CuseFootball?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@CuseFootball<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/82UEwyA2kE\">pic.twitter.com\/82UEwyA2kE<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Jaylan Hornsby (@856_JayHorns) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/856_JayHorns\/status\/1733982391968944331?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 10, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Hornsby becomes the first player to flip to Syracuse since Fran Brown was hired last week.<\/p>\n<p>A former assistant at <a href=\"https:\/\/ugawire.usatoday.com\/\">Georgia<\/a> where he coached the safeties, Brown has been ranked among the top recruiters in the nation over the past four years.
