Irankunda was criticised in commentary for not applying himself in defence as the Roar went 2-0 up with coach Carl Veart reportedly exchanging words with his young superstar.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffObviously (Jez) Lofthouse has had a cracking second half but a big reason he's been able to do that, and be afforded so much space, is that Nestory wasn't supporting (Adelaide defender Giuseppe) Bovalina defensively," former Socceroo Bruce Djite said on Paramount+.<\/p>\n

"The whole team's been damaged by that, I just think he's got a long way to go in terms of defensive duties and taking them seriously but also controlling your emotions. \ufeff<\/p>\n
