Warriors<\/a> recruit Kurt Capewell says coach Andrew Webster<\/a> is a "massive reason" behind him deciding to leave the Broncos immediately to join the New Zealand-based club.<\/p>\n

After weeks of speculation, Capewell's move was made official on Thursday<\/a>, with the 30-year-old signing a three-year deal that he deemed to be "an opportunity too good to pass up".<\/p>\n

"\ufeffI\ufefft was definitely tough. I've obviously done a lot here in the last couple of years, so it's tough to be leaving, but exciting as well," he said.<\/p>\n

"I love the club and I've had a great time since I've been here. \ufeffI still love everyone here as well. I'm lucky that I've got the opportunity to go to the Warriors for the next three years.<\/p>\n

"It was an opportunity too good to pass up and I'm just grateful for the time I've spent here and obviously grateful to the Warriors."<\/p>\n

Capewell is familiar with Webster from the pair's time at the Panthers, and is keen to reunite with the newly-crowned Dally M Coach of the Year.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffWebby has obviously done great things at the club," he said.<\/p>\n

"He's a great bloke and I really get along with him on a personal level as well, so he's made the decision easier, that's for sure."<\/p>\n

Capewell said he was "proud" having seen the Broncos rise from strugglers to grand finalists in his time at the club, and can see a similar trajectory for the Warriors, who surged up the latter into a preliminary final this season.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffThey've got a lot left in the tank too with what they can do," he said of the Broncos.<\/p>\n

"They're going to be a powerhouse in the next few years, which was the goal coming here, so I'm happy to leave it in the way that it is at the moment.<\/p>\n

"They're (the Warriors) definitely a powerhouse also. \ufeffI definitely think we'll be giving the competition a shake next year.<\/p>\n
