S\ufefftar Australian cricketing all-rounder Glenn Maxwell<\/a> has promised he'll play in the Indian Premier League until he "can't walk anymore", with hopes that rising players get the chance to flex their muscles worldwide.<\/p>\n

Returning home from his World Cup heroics for Australia, highlighted by his\ufeff special unbeaten 201 off 128 balls against Afghanistan<\/a>, Maxwell is now looking forward to witnessing the next generation of Australian cricketers on display.<\/p>\n

As Maxwell leads his Melbourne Stars<\/a> in their first BBL<\/a> match of the season on Thursday night against the Brisbane Heat<\/a> at the Gabba\ufeff, the veteran will be keeping an eye on the talent he'll be facing.<\/p>\n

"I think the best thing about a World Cup is that it creates so much chat around young players coming through. Guys like (Jake) Fraser-McGurk, Ollie Davies, these young guys who have so much talent and are so good to watch," Maxwell said on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

"Sam Harper for us (at the Stars) \u2026 I'm hoping it's going be a really exciting summer for the BBL with what is just around the corner.<\/p>\n

"Hopefully a little bit more importance on putting your name up in the headlines for the right reasons and trying to push for those spots."<\/p>\n

As for his time in the IPL, Maxwell confirmed he'll be there until he can't stand up anymore, with hopes that the Australians vying for a spot will be kept by their teams next season.<\/p>\n

"The IPL will probably be the last tournament I ever play, as in I will play the IPL until I can't walk anymore," Maxwell said.<\/p>\n

Maxwell, who is 35 years old, lauded the IPL and the benefits he has received by simply being on a team list.<\/p>\n

"I was talking about how good the IPL has been to me I suppose throughout my career," Maxwell said.<\/p>\n

"The people I've met, the coaches I have played under, the international players that you get to rub shoulders with and how beneficial to my whole career that tournament has been.<\/p>\n

"It's probably been hard to recreate that in any other series or tournament around the world.\ufeff"<\/p>\n
