Richmond<\/a> superstar D\ufeffustin Martin<\/a> has been forced off the track early during the Tigers' training camp in Wonthaggi on Wednesday after copping a "heavy" knock.<\/p>\n

According to 9News Melbourne's Braden Ingram, the \ufeff32-year-old will be monitored for any concussion-like symptoms over the coming days.<\/p>\n

"Dustin Martin left the training track today following a collision during the club's session in Wonthaggi," the Tigers told 9News Melbourne on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

"He required treatment for a cut to his chin and will be monitored."\ufeff<\/p>\n

With a big crowd in attendance at the training session, Martin was whisked away into Richmond football boss Tim Livingstone's car, with vision showing the cut on his chin.<\/p>\n

The camp continues in Wonthaggi until Friday, but it is unclear if Martin will take part in the final two days of sessions.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Martin is in the final year of his mega contract with the Tigers, meaning a potential serious injury setback \ufeffcould cost him when the 2024 season comes to an end.<\/p>\n

There have been suggestions that Martin\ufeff, whose seven-year $9 million deal ends at the end of next season, could join former Richmond coach Damien Hardwick on the Gold Coast at the completion of next season.<\/p>\n

Despite the calls, Hardwick has rubbished the claims.<\/p>\n

New Richmond coach Adam Yze\ufeff says he understands the weight of Martin's mega-call.<\/p>\n

"We want Dusty to be happy," Yze said in November.<\/p>\n

\ufeff"In the end, as a coach, I am not going to put pressure on a timeline for him making that decision. It's a big decision for him. I just hope he gets the right feeling about not only myself but our coaching staff. Who knows?"<\/p>\n
