Candice Warner<\/a> says she and her husband David<\/a> are "doing well" despite the Australian opening batter copping a spray from Mitchell Johnson<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Warners engaged in something of a tit-for-tat with the left-arm fast bowler, which began when Candice said there were no openers good enough to replace her husband.<\/p>\n

That prompted Johnson to write a terse column in response, at which point the Test batter of 109 appearances fired off a text message<\/a> that contained "quite personal" remarks.<\/p>\n

Johnson tried, to no avail, to contact his former teammate in the wake of that text.<\/p>\n

After his selection for the Pakistan tour, Johnson hit out at Warner for his "arrogance and disrespect", lashing his lack of ownership in the ball-tampering scandal.<\/p>\n

Johnson also shredded Warner for his approach to retirement, giving selectors little choice but to pick him.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the launch of this year's IronMan and IronWoman series, Candice kept her response brief.\u00a0<\/p>\n

"We're doing well," she said.<\/p>\n

"David's home. He's been away for three months so to have him home now and be together as a family in the lead-up to Christmas is always special."<\/p>\n

Candice said she was grateful for any support Warner had received in the wake of the fall-out from Johnson's remarks.<\/p>\n

"It's really lovely for David to have that support but he's a good human being and at the end of the day that's all that matters."<\/p>\n

Asked about Warner's mentality ahead of the home soil series against Pakistan, Candice joked that he was giving more attention to the triathlon.\u00a0<\/p>\n
