W\ufeffests Tigers<\/a> have reportedly issued Adam Doueihi<\/a> a 'please explain' over a deleted comment he posted on Instagram relating to LGBTQ+ inclusion in sport.<\/p>\n

The Tigers utility commented "embarrassing post" after the English Premier League<\/a> had uploaded an explainer on 'How to speak about LGBTQ+ inclusion'.<\/p>\n

According to AAP, \ufeffDoueihi was not intended to be perceived as him speaking ill of the LGBTQ+ community. <\/p>\n

Instead, he has told the Tigers that the EPL telling people what to say to the LGBTQI community was what he found "embarrassing". <\/p>\n

The report indicates the Tigers have not launched a formal investigation with the NRL integrity unit not involved. <\/p>\n

The EPL uploaded the post as part of the Rainbow Laces campaign, and includes steps on what to say and what not to say. <\/p>\n

Doueihi, a devout Christian, has previously spoken out on same-sex matters after a Sydney girls school banned students bringing a same-sex partner as a date to their Year 12 formal. <\/p>\n

The 25-year-old spoke out in support of the decision<\/a>. <\/p>\n

"When a Catholic school \u2013 yes, a Catholic school \u2013 wants to teach the Catholic teachings and act in a Catholic manner towards situations, this seems to be a big issue for the minority of people to understand," he said on 2GB Radio. <\/p>\n

"What's happened to morals, what's happened to values, what's happened to respecting people's religions and what they stand for?<\/p>\n

"We as Christians don't have anything against different types of people. All we say is keep us out of it. Stop trying to brainwash our children and cause confusion for the next generation of Catholics.<\/p>\n

"… We don't care if you want to go and be whatever you want to be, but don't try and force it upon us and drag us along with you. If you're not into all the Catholic teachings, then don't go to a Catholic school.
