Min Woo Lee<\/a> claims he didn't plan his instantly iconic celebration on the 17th green of the Australian PGA Championship<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In fact, the young Aussie reckons he still has no idea where a chef's hat came from that ended up on his head before he'd even won the tournament.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old Perth product stormed to victory at Royal Queensland on Sunday<\/a>, and was lucky to have the result locked away before even walking onto the 18th tee.<\/p>\n

It gave him the opportunity to celebrate with a raucous and large crowd surrounding the 17th "party hole", and he didn't disappoint the enthusiastic fans.<\/p>\n

Lee threw a number of balls into the crowd, before donning the chef's hat and performing a Viking clap.<\/p>\n

\ufeffTwo days later, Lee revealed it wasn't his idea.<\/p>\n

\ufeff"I still ask my caddie where he got the chef hats on 17," he told media in Sydney on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

"I told him before the hole, 'Chuck me some balls, I'm going to throw them out after the hole's done', and then he gives me the chef's hat, and I'm like, 'I'm not wearing this'.<\/p>\n

"He's like, 'Go on, wear it', so I ended up wearing it.<\/p>\n

"But it was a shock to me, I didn't know that it was happening."\ufeff<\/p>\n

Sunday's victory in Brisbane earned Lee a $340,000 cheque and bumped him from No.45 to No.38 on the world rankings.<\/p>\n

And while he celebrated with friends and family afterwards, he says he took it easy given the Australian Open kicks off in Sydney on Thursday.<\/p>\n

\ufeff"\ufeffNothing too serious … work to do this week," he said when asked about the celebrations.<\/p>\n

"My win in Macau I kind of learnt from. I went pretty hard after that win and had Zozo the week after, so I thought I didn't get the best preparation for that week.<\/p>\n

"So I'm learning from those experiences. I just had a … I'll say medium (night) – good enough to celebrate but not enough for a hangover."<\/p>\n

Lee is now the favourite to win in Sydney this week, but bookies may start to drift his price after hearing of potential plans for Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

"Post Malone's one of my favourite artists and my girlfriend's, I've seen him three times now … He's here on Wednesday this week in Sydney, so I was thinking of maybe going again, but I might keep it a bit more low key," Lee said.<\/p>\n

"Obviously you don't want to go to a concert between tournaments."\ufeff<\/p>\n
