The NBA<\/a> is looking into allegations that Australian NBA star Josh Giddey<\/a> had an improper relationship with an underage girl, a league spokesperson told ESPN.<\/p>\n

The allegations surfaced on social media earlier this week when images of the Oklahoma City player went viral.<\/p>\n

Giddey turned his comments off on Instagram shortly after. Speaking to reporters ahead of his side's clash with the Philadelphia 76ers,\ufeff Giddey, 21, declined to comment.<\/p>\n

"I understand the question obviously, but there's no further comment right now," Giddey told reporters when asked about the allegations.<\/p>\n

Thunder coach Mark Daigneault also refused to elaborate on the issue.<\/p>\n

"Personal matter, and I have no comment on it," Daigneault told reporters. "And that'll be my comment on anything related."<\/p>\n

Both ESPN and The Athletic reported on Saturday morning (AEDT) that the NBA was looking into the allegations.<\/p>\n

Giddey, the No. 6 pick in the 2021 draft, is averaging 12.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game this year, with the Thunder 11-4.<\/p>\n
