Collingwood<\/a> is yet to determine whether defender Nathan Murphy will play in 2024 after \ufeffsuffering a concussion in the grand final<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Murphy was subbed out of the grand final early after the head knock, believed to be the 10th across his junior and AFL<\/a> career.<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old will be required to see AFL's medical concussion panel, with the club still unsure as to when that assessment will take place.<\/p>\n

The uncertainty on Murphy's availability comes after Collingwood list boss Derek Hine claimed the defender was "fine" when speaking to the media earlier this week.<\/p>\n

Hine's comments followed those from Magpies football boss Graham Wright who also said the club was "really hopeful" of having Murphy back in action next season.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffWe're really hopeful that he's going well, I presume he's been in Bali," Wright said last month.<\/p>\n

"So hopefully, he's had a good time there and my understanding is I don't think there's been any symptoms."<\/p>\n
