Australian batter Marnus Labuschagne<\/a> has \ufefftaken aim at the "astonishing" scheduling of a Twenty20<\/a> international series just days after the ODI World Cup<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Aussies won the World Cup \ufefffinal in Ahmedabad on Monday morning<\/a> (AEDT), and some of the same players will be asked to line up against India – who lost the final – for the first of five T20 matches on Thursday night (12.30am Friday, AEDT).<\/p>\n

While Cup winner Labuschagne is not one of them, he can't believe the timing of the series jammed into a schedule that makes little sense.<\/p>\n

"It is astonishing that there's another game on tomorrow," Labuschagne said via AAP.<\/p>\n

"That's hard to fathom. It's hard to fathom how those guys are going to be playing in a day's time.<\/p>\n

"But that's just the nature of the scheduling, it's the nature of cricket at the moment.<\/p>\n

"We've got three weeks until the first Test (in Australia), so guys will be freshening up, getting themselves ready for the next challenge."<\/p>\n

Sean Abbott, Josh Inglis, Glenn Maxwell, Steve Smith, Marcus Stoinis, and Adam Zampa\ufeff are the World Cup squad members who have stayed in India for the Twenty20 series.<\/p>\n

Even head coach Andrew McDonald flew home rather than stay in India for the meaningless series.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Teammates who flew into Australia on Wednesday morning cast doubt over Head's availability in particular<\/a>, given he hasn't stopped partying since Monday morning's victory.<\/p>\n
