Another big name is reportedly set to sign with LIV Golf<\/a>, with Spain's Jon Rahm<\/a> the next star rumoured to leave the PGA Tour<\/a>.<\/p>\n

While sources close to the Masters champion denied the possibility of crossing over when approached by reporters\ufeff at the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai on the weekend, current LIV players privately believe a deal is close.<\/p>\n

\ufeffIt's understood Rahm could be swayed if he's offered in excess of the $572 million he reportedly rejected ahead of the breakaway tour's inaugural season in 2022.<\/p>\n

A report on golf website Bunkered said Rahm is in negotiations with the Saudi backed circuit, with the signing viewed as a huge coup for LIV.<\/p>\n

When news of the agreement between\ufeff the PGA Tour, DP World Tour and LIV broke, Rahm was critical of PGA Tour bosses.<\/p>\n

"Two minutes before the announcement came out, someone from the PGA Tour contacted me and told me everything. I thought it was a joke," he said.<\/p>\n

"This is what they should have done from the beginning. Instead, they generated division and then decided to come together again."<\/p>\n

Rumours of his potential switch intensified when he withdrew from Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy's new TGL venture earlier this month, saying, "it would require a level of commitment that I can't offer".\ufeff<\/p>\n

Even with the divide in the golf world, Rahm has maintained close relationships\ufeff with several key figures in LIV, including Sergio Garcia and Phil Mickelson.<\/p>\n

It's been suggested that Rahm could be in line to join Garcia's Fireballs GC team after Carlos Ortiz's anticipated move to Torque GC. However, there's also speculation Rahm could have his own team.<\/p>\n

Having won the Masters in April, Rahm\ufeff has an exemption into all four major championships for at least the next five years, causing a headache for the PGA Tour.<\/p>\n
