World Cup<\/a> hero Adam Zampa<\/a> has taken a pop at Australian cricket legend Michael Clarke<\/a> in an 11pm Instagram post.<\/p>\n

While a host of Aussie players arrived home at Sydney airport on Wednesday morning, Zampa appears to be \ufeffextending the celebrations in India alongside Travis Head<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Zampa was named in the team of the tournament<\/a> for his 23 wickets, while Head was man of the match in both the semi-final and the final as the Aussies won a sixth ODI World Cup<\/a>.<\/p>\n

About the same time teammates – including captain Pat Cummins – were landing in Sydney, both Zampa and Head posted stories to their Instagram accounts.<\/p>\n

Head's photo featured the pair with their Cup medals in their mouths, and the words "we ain't leaving" on the graphic.<\/p>\n

But Zampa's post was much more pointed, and took aim at Clarke specifically.<\/p>\n

Clarke is one of Australia's greatest ever batters, and led the team to World Cup glory in 2015, but now works as a prominent radio broadcaster in Sydney.<\/p>\n

He spoke after Australia lost its opening two World Cup matches, before the team went on a nine-win streak to claim the trophy.<\/p>\n

"I'm not saying our World Cup is over. We could still qualify with two losses, but Sri Lanka are going to be tough in those conditions. We haven't played Pakistan yet," Clarke told Sky Sports Radio at the time.<\/p>\n

"We've got some really tough cricket ahead of us and if we play like this, we are not qualifying. I'm more worried about the subcontinent teams.<\/p>\n

"If we're getting shown up like that against South Africa, with the spin in the sub-continent teams … we'll be laughable.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"If we're not careful the conversation we've been having for the last three weeks about the Wallabies, in two weeks' time we'll be having that about Australian cricket."<\/p>\n

Zampa quoted Clarke in part, followed by a series of laughing emojis and then an orange love heart on Instagram.<\/p>\n

The leg-spinner had a separate dig at Clarke's criticism earlier in the tournament over Pat Cummins' captaincy, when the former skipper said the current one had "got it wrong" tactically and could be in danger of being dropped.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffWe all back each other 100 per cent in this team, so I don't really know what's been said or what people are reading," Zampa said in response to Clarke's criticism.<\/p>\n

"But the only thing that I saw come on the WhatsApp group was same 11 as last game.<\/p>\n

"There's no pressure on Pat there. We've got a really good feeling in the group in terms of backing each other, looking after each other."<\/p>\n
