Minjee Lee<\/a> pipped Cameron Smith<\/a> and her younger brother to claim a record third Greg Norman<\/a> medal as the nation's most successful golfer.<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old world No.5 claimed two wins on the LPGA Tour this year to take her overall haul to 10 wins on tour.<\/p>\n

Lee also notched eight top-20 finishes in a row and finishing tied 13 and tied eighth in her last four events.<\/p>\n

Lee dominated last year,\ufeff taking the US Open and finishing second on the LPGA Tour's money list.<\/p>\n

"Minjee continues to represent Australian golf in the best way possible," PGA of Australia chief executive Gavin Kirkman said at the event in Brisbane on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n

"To now have 10 wins on the LPGA Tour, including two major championships, at such a young age establishes Minjee as one of our greatest golfers of all time.<\/p>\n

"And yet, I am sure there is much more to come.<\/p>\n

"Given the success our golfers have enjoyed throughout the world this past year, I commend the judges on what must have been a very difficult decision to pick between such worthy candidates."<\/p>\n

Her brother, Min Woo\ufeff was also in the conversation for the award after he won the Macau Open, finished fifth at the US Open and sixth at the Players Championship.<\/p>\n

And Smith also could have had legitimate claims for a third Greg Norman Medal when he\ufeff won twice on the LIV Tour, recorded two top-10 finishes in majors and won a third Australian PGA Championship.<\/p>\n
