A teen superstar has been traded to European giant Bayern Munich<\/a> for what is reportedly an A-League<\/a> record transfer fee.<\/p>\n

Nestory Irankunda's move to the Bundesliga club was announced by Adelaide United<\/a> on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The club confirmed the transfer fee paid for the 17-year-old \ufeffis a record for United, but it's said to also be a record for the Australian league.<\/p>\n

Reports \ufeffclaim United will receive $5.8 million over the course of the multi-year deal.<\/p>\n

Irankunda is a powerful attacking winger and has scored nine goals in 38 appearances, which is an A-League record for a player still under 20 years old.<\/p>\n

He was signed by United as a 15-year-old and was soon on the radar of European clubs, including Bayern Munich's "for some time".<\/p>\n

"Nestory is an extremely fast winger, good at dribbling and finishing, and with a lot of power towards the goal," Bayern Munich's youth development director Jochen Sauer said.<\/p>\n

"We are convinced of his potential and that he will take the next steps with us."<\/p>\n

\ufeffIrankunda will see out the 2023-24 A-League season with United before heading overseas.<\/p>\n

"I'm happy to have this all finalised and to be heading to one of the best clubs in the world \u2013 it's a real dream come true," Irankunda said.<\/p>\n
