Concerns have been raised over Mitchell Starc<\/a>'s warm-up act after the fast bowler was rested for Australia's World Cup clash with Bangladesh<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The left-hander was captured wicket-keeping to the Australian bowlers as they warmed up but it failed to impress several former international cricketers. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"I know he's probably getting keeping lessons at home from (wife) Alyssa Healy<\/a>," ex-Black Caps bowler Simon Doull said in commentary.<\/p>\n

"He was actually wicketkeeping this morning to the quick bowlers, and I thought, 'That is fraught with danger'.<\/p>\n

"You've got a couple of games left in the World Cup, and you've got the gloves on wicketkeeping to the quicks. If you get one on the end of your finger, I just didn't think that was overly smart."<\/p>\n

Australian legend Matthew Hayden believes Starc should take every caution necessary when being rested. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"Not that I watch your forehead closely, but I saw it crinkle up, with one eyebrow raised," he said to Doull.<\/p>\n

"You're having a day off, you have a day off, the last thing you want to do is break a finger."<\/p>\n

Starc was rested for the team along with Glenn Maxwell as Sean Abbott made his World Cup debut and Steve Smith returned to the side. \ufeff<\/p>\n

The left-arm quick has yet to hit his straps in the tournament so far, taking 10 wickets at 43.90.<\/p>\n

Former Australian captain \ufeffMark Taylor<\/a> found the selection decision intriguing.<\/p>\n

"That's interesting, saying he's been rested," he told Nine's coverage.<\/p>\n
