Greek star Stefanos Tsitsipas is through to the fourth round of the Australian Open following a straight-sets win over Mikael Ymer.<\/p>\n

Coming off a thrilling five-setter against Thanasi Kokkinakis<\/a> on Thursday, Tsitsipas today made quick work of Ymer, who was also the Greek star's training partner during quarantine, 6-4 6-1 6-1.<\/p>\n

"I think I showed a good quality of tennis today. Mike is someone that I've known for a long time and it's quite important for me to have battles like this against him and for the next generation of tennis as well," he said after the match.<\/p>\n

"All of us have been working really hard to get where we are today."<\/p>\n

It's the second time Tsitsipas, 22, has made the fourth round at Melbourne Park after he famously reached the semi-finals back in 2019, where he beat Roger Federer in the fourth round to advance. He will face either Matteo Berrettini or Karen Khachanov on Monday.<\/p>\n

With Melbourne's snap five-day lockdown introduced the night before, Tsitsipas admitted his match this evening was "certainly different", but said he hoped he can remain in the tournament long enough to see spectators back at Melbourne Park.<\/p>\n

"Mentally, it came quite unexpected, I didn't expect it," he said after the match.<\/p>\n

"It's certainly different without a crowd, I will tell you that. Difference atmosphere, different vibe.<\/p>\n

"I'm pretty sure if I hold on tight and get some more matches then the crowd will be back, it's just five days.<\/p>\n

"I will be happy to see them back."<\/p>\n
