If anyone was to kick the Matildas<\/a>' 900th goal in their history, it was only ever going to be one person.<\/p>\n

Enter Sam Kerr<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kerr, who followed after Mary Fowler, dominated for Australia yet again, guiding the Matildas to their third and final win of the Olympic qualifiers, with a 3-0 victory over Chinese Taipei in Perth on Wednesday night.<\/a><\/p>\n

Despite the domination, not only against Chinese Taipei but all teams across the three-game qualifiers, Fowler admits there's no time to rest as the team shifts focus to the next steps to reach Paris 2024, which comes in February.<\/p>\n

The Matildas' three goal victory didn't come as easy as their 8-0 win over the Philippines\ufeff, with Chinese Taipei's defence only able to be broken late in the second half.<\/p>\n

Matildas winger Hayley Raso admitted her side were stumped with the tough defence in the first half, but shuffled their plan of attack to sneak the lines after half-time.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"They did really well tonight, it was really hard to break down that block in the first half," Hayley Raso said on Channel 10 post match.<\/p>\n

"[Coach] Tony [Gustavsson] spoke to us, made a few tac\ufefftical changes, brought on Charlie [Grant]. She brought a lot of energy."<\/p>\n

The Matildas dominated from the opening minute but spent the first half unable to capitalise on their high ball use.\ufeff<\/p>\n

At one stage, at the 32nd minute, the Australians had 82 per cent of the ball's possession.<\/p>\n

Chinese Taipei goalkeeper Cheng Ssu-yu stood out amongst her side, saving every ball that came her way\ufeff in the first half.<\/p>\n

But it was Fowler, whose first half was already promising, who broke the deadlock in the 62nd minute\ufeff, scoring the Matildas first of the evening.<\/p>\n

From there the floodgates opened, with superstar Sam Kerr booting the Matildas' second of the night at the 68th minute, notching up the team's 900th goal in their history.\ufeff<\/p>\n

It was then Tameka Yallop\ufeff, who scored the sealer after she was subbed on.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Coach Tony Gustavsson also turned his attention to reaching Paris 2024, but did so in a more cryptic fashion.<\/p>\n

It was an impressive tournament for the Australians,\ufeff who did not concede a single goal during their three Olympic qualifiers.\ufeff<\/p>\n

The Matildas steamrolled their competition, winning 2-0 over Iran, 8-0 against the Philippines<\/a> and 3-0 over Chinese Taipei.\ufeff<\/p>\n

They will now face off against the top finishers in the two other Olympic qualifier groups, as well.<\/p>\n
