Rugby league<\/a> bad boy Curtis Scott<\/a> is attempting to make a comeback to the NRL in 2024.<\/p>\n

Scott, who made front-page news last year when he was found guilty of assaulting and threatening his former partner, Tay-Leiha Clark<\/a>, has been offered to several clubs.<\/p>\n

But the former Storm premiership-winner has yet to get any takers, with clubs steering well clear of him.<\/p>\n

Scott had a bid to overturn his convictions for a series of domestic violence charges – for which he avoided jail but was forced to undergo counselling as part of a 12-month community correction – rejected by a judge recently.<\/p>\n

He has been playing bush footy but even there he has been in strife, involved in at least one ugly brawl<\/a>.<\/p>\n

If a club does show interest in Scott, the NRL would still have to agree to register any contract and at just 26, his career in the big time appears over.<\/p>\n

Knights sign \ufeffexciting young talent<\/h3>\n

\ufeffThe Knights have poached one of Parramatta's best young talents in hooker Jacob Davis.<\/p>\n

Davis, 20, started last season in the Flegg Cup but within several months was playing against grown men in the NSW Cup and holding his own.<\/p>\n

The youngster has signed a one-year development contract but it wouldn't surprise to see him in the Knights' top 30 12 months from now.<\/p>\n

The Eels were keen to retain Davis but have several up-and-coming hookers in their ranks and knew they would have to let at least one go elsewhere in search of opportunity and when Newcastle approached Davis, they didn't stand in his way.<\/p>\n

Manly \ufeffslugger weighing up Super League move<\/h3>\n

Manly's Samoan Test forward Josh Aloiai could be headed for the Super League next season.<\/p>\n

Leigh Leopards, coached by former Sydney Roosters star Adrian Lam, are showing interest in the 27-year-old prop.<\/p>\n

Leigh are on a high after winning the Challenge Cup Final this year and are looking to boost their playing stocks.<\/p>\n

Aloiai has over 130 NRL games to his name with the Tigers and Sea Eagles and has also played five Tests for Samoa.<\/p>\n

He played 16 games for Manly this season and is under contract until the end of 2025 but the club is prepared to grant him a release.<\/p>\n

The Sea Eagles are top-heavy with forwards after signing Aitasi James (Wests Tigers) and Corey Waddell (Bulldogs) for next season, and Josh Schuster is set to move into the pack from five-eighth.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Dolphins\ufeff look to the future with new signing<\/h3>\n

The Dolphins continue to play the long game, signing a promising 16-year-old who can play anywhere in the forwards.<\/p>\n

Duquan Talaepa is so versatile he is equally at home at lock, second row, hooker or prop.<\/p>\n

Formerly with the Bulldogs in their junior system, the 16-year-old has played the past two seasons with the Magpies in the Cyril Connell Cup.<\/p>\n
