J\ufeffai Arrow<\/a> has re-signed with the Rabbitohs<\/a> just hours before he was due to become a free agent.<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old Queensland<\/a> Origin star reportedly agreed to terms with Souths several weeks ago, but the club left it until deadline day to make the announcement.<\/p>\n

The new deal ties arrow to Redfern until 2027.<\/p>\n

Arrow has played 143 NRL matches, including 63 for the Rabbitohs. He debuted with the Broncos<\/a> in \ufeff2016 before moving to the Titans<\/a> for a three-season stint, starting in 2018.<\/p>\n

His new deal with the Rabbitohs ensures he'll be a key pillar of the club's forward pack into his thirties.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"I'm very proud and grateful to the club for giving me the opportunity to stay until the end of the 2027 season," Arrow said in a statement released by the Rabbitohs.<\/p>\n

"I'm very honoured and it makes me proud to be part of this historic club. It is a privilege to wear the jersey and to represent the club and its community every day.<\/p>\n

"The boys, the coaches and the staff all have the utmost faith that we will be successful and I'm excited about what's ahead for us in the coming years.<\/p>\n

"I want to finish my journey at this club and I'm so happy to be a part of the South Sydney Rabbitohs."<\/p>\n

South Sydney football boss, Mark Ellison, added: "Jai has proven to be one of the best utility forwards in the game and he has shown that at the State of Origin level as well.<\/p>\n

"Whether he plays in the middle or out on the edge, he rarely misses his assignment and is one of the most reliable players and teammates we have here at the Rabbitohs."<\/p>\n

"We're really happy to see Jai commit his future here at South Sydney and we're certain he will make a significant contribution to any success the club has in the future," he added.<\/p>\n
