Lahore: Former captain Ramiz Raja has pointed out two areas where Pakistan’s T20I side has to improve going forward.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pakistan have the lowest <\/span>Powerplay<\/span> run-rate in T20Is since 2019 (6.97).\u00a0<\/span>The 58-year-old Ramiz thinks that Pakistan must improve their scoring rate in the first six overs.<\/p>\n

“Our record is the worst in the first powerplay overs and we have to add more power in the first six overs,” he said on his YouTube channel.<\/p>\n

Ramiz also emphasized on introducing new batsmen as the next T20 world cup is scheduled to take place in India.<\/p>\n

“I think Pakistan needs to add batsmen in the side who have the ability to give momentum to the batting in sub-continent conditions bearing in mind the fact that the next T20 World Cup is in the sub-continent,” he added.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, he praised wicket-keeper Mohammad Rizwan who scored a century in first T20I against South Africa but cautioned that others also have to step up too.<\/p>\n

“There’s a talk around that he can’t hit sixes but today he smashed the opposition today but other batsmen have to take responsibility. The total would have been 200+ if there had one or two contributions more,” he maintained.<\/p>\n
