The Penrith Panthers<\/a> have upped their offer to star five-eighth Jarome Luai<\/a> in a bid to keep him from leaving the club.<\/p>\n

According to the Sydney Morning Herald<\/a>, the Panthers have offered Luai a two-year, $1.7 million extension that would keep him at the club through 2026.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old is currently set to come out of contract at the end of next season and he is expected to field formal offers from rival clubs from November 1.<\/p>\n

After ditching his previous agents, Luai has recently linked up with Black Money<\/a>, the management company which handles the affairs of Latrell Mitchell and Cody Walker.<\/p>\n

\ufeffThe Panthers are facing a fight to keep Luai, who is expected to attract offers of up to $1 million per season on the open market, due to big money offers made to Nathan Cleary, Dylan Edwards, James Fisher-Harris, Liam Martin and Isaah Yeo.<\/p>\n
