Japanese star Naomi Osaka has developed into a crowd favourite in Australia, particularly after her 2019 title win, and has revealed she loves the "Aussie! Aussie! Aussie!" chant<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The world No.3 told spectators at John Cain Arena after today's 6-3 6-2 victory over Tunisia's Ons Jabeur<\/a> – and that of course prompted the entire crowd to belt out the famous tune, making Osaka blush.<\/p>\n

"Oh my god! Is that longer or something? I don't remember it being that long," Osaka said while half-covering her eyes.<\/p>\n

"Honestly, I remember the first time I came here and I was 16 or 17, I was watching from the stands and I remember clapping with everyone and it was super fun."<\/p>\n

Osaka's win against Jabeur means she's progressed to the fourth round of the Australian Open for the third time in four years.<\/p>\n

The three-time major champion has now won 18 consecutive matches and 10 consecutive Grand Slam matches.<\/p>\n

Osaka is yet to lose a set in this year's Australian Open and is now set to meet 2020 Australian Open runner-up Garbine Muguruza in the fourth round.<\/p>\n
