South Africa<\/a> hooker Bongi Mbonambi is in doubt for the World Cup final after he was accused of making a racist slur during the Springboks' win over England<\/a><\/p>\n

England<\/a> flanker Tom Curry made a complaint to referee Ben O'Keeffe over \ufeffthe alleged incident, stating Mbonambi called him a "white c—".<\/p>\n

O'Keeffe was approached before the 30th minute when England were in front 9-3.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Curry's comments were heard on the referee's microphone with the flanker stating: \ufeff"Sir, Sir, if their hooker calls me a white c— what do I do?"<\/p>\n

O'Keeffe replied: "Nothing please" before assuring Curry "I will be on it". No immediate action was taken on Mbonambi with no audible evidence of the hooker's comments.<\/p>\n

Post-game, Mbonambi refused to shake Curry's hand.<\/p>\n

As reported in The Sydney Morning Herald<\/a>, Curry was asked after the game if Mbonambi said anything, to which he replied "yeah" \ufeffbefore adding: "it does not need to be talked out".<\/p>\n
