A\ufeffustralian swim star Kaylee McKeown<\/a> has continued her red-hot form in the pool, breaking a second world record in a matter of days at the World Cup meet in Budapest.<\/p>\n

McKeown, who broke the 50-metre backstroke record on Saturday<\/a>, bettered her own record mark in the 100-metre backstroke by 0.12 seconds by swimming an incredible 57.33 early Sunday morning AEDT.<\/p>\n

The 22-year-old's 50-metre record set on Saturday meant she is the first woman ever to hold the record in the 50-metre, 100-metre and 200-metre backstroke at the same time.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"I never saw myself as a sprinter so it's really nice to have that under my belt," McKeown said after her latest world record feat.<\/p>\n

"I just wanted to get out fast and see what I can do … I am super stoked with that."\ufeff<\/p>\n

McKeown is also in the final of the 200-metre backstroke, the event where she won the gold medal at the Olympics in Tokyo.<\/p>\n

Having already earned a bonus of over $63,000 for her two world records, McKeown is poised to go home with another six-figure bonus if she takes out the overall World Cup series crown, which she is currently in the box seat for.<\/p>\n

\ufeffMcKeown heads to Paris in the form of her life, having also won the gold in the 50-metre backstroke final at the World Aquatics Championships in Fukuoka earlier this year.<\/p>\n

\ufeffShe took out the gold medal in the 100-metre backstroke as well as the 200-metre and the 4×100-metre medley, but has not been resting on her laurels ahead of Paris.<\/p>\n

"Next year is going to be a really tough year so the more confidence I can build, the better," she said.<\/p>\n
