The commentary box was left in stitches at the sight of Sydney Roosters<\/a> ace Joseph Manu<\/a> taking a hit-up while shirtless in the first half of New Zealand<\/a>'s massive 50-0 Pacific Championship<\/a> win over Samoa<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Midway through the first half, Manu's shirt was ripped off in a tackle.<\/p>\n

As the play moved quickly on, the Roosters star had no time to fetch a replacement before taking another hit-up.<\/p>\n

"They don't make (the jerseys) like they used to – they need the old woolen ones back," Mat Thompson quipped in commentary for Nine.<\/p>\n

Billy Slater said he'd had shirts ripped before, but not completely off like Manu's was.\ufeff<\/p>\n

The shirtless Roosters gun might have proven something of a distraction for the Samoans, who allowed Jahrome Hughes to score in the following plays.<\/p>\n

Manu got a fresh shirt during the stoppage.<\/p>\n

The Samoans were barely a shell of the side that lost to the Kangaroos in last year's World Cup final. They barely had an attacking opportunity and provided little resistance as the Kiwis ran in nine tries.<\/p>\n

Jamayne Isaako scored a first half double, and Ronaldo Mulitalo a second half double.<\/p>\n
