Mitchell Marsh<\/a>'s spectacular World Cup<\/a> century on his birthday has given the Australian<\/a> selectors a massive headache for the back-end of the tournament, Mark Taylor<\/a> believes.<\/p>\n

And it could be bad news for Marnus Labuschagne<\/a> or Marcus Stoinis<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Travis Head<\/a> has been missing from the side since breaking his hand against South Africa<\/a>, but is back in India and expected to be available for the Aussies sixth game against New Zealand<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Head had been opening alongside David Warner<\/a>, but given how well both Warner and Marsh have combined so far in this tournament, selectors find themselves with a dilemma on their hands.<\/p>\n

While Head has been in-form for the better part of the past 12 months and can play an aggressive role similar to Warner, having Marsh at the top keeps the left-right opening combination Australia has more or less carried for decades.<\/p>\n

Taylor said on Nine's coverage during Australia's innings that Labuschagne might have been batting for his spot in the side.<\/p>\n

Not long after that comment and having made just eight, Labuschagne found the man on the deep mid-wicket boundary while looking to score quickly.<\/p>\n

While one of Australia's best in the Test scene, Labuschagne's white-ball form has been patchy at best.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Taylor suggested if Marsh were to remain at the top of the order with Warner, Head would be a great option at first drop.<\/p>\n

Glenn Maxwell was elevated up the order against Pakistan in an attempt to continue the big hitting, but fell first ball.<\/p>\n

Marcus Stoinis also only scored a somewhat scratchy 21, and Taylor suggested he too could be on the block.<\/p>\n

But he would go on to star for the Aussies in their \ufeffdefence, claiming two wickets and taking a fantastic catch.<\/p>\n

"That will be the choice if or when Travis Head comes back," Taylor said.<\/p>\n

"I think they will definitely keep Mitch Marsh in the side somewhere, maybe as the all-rounder or at number three."<\/p>\n

Speaking after his innings, Marsh said he was relieved to finally score runs on his birthday.<\/p>\n

"I feel like I've played a lot of cricket on my birthday and never got over 10," he said.<\/p>\n

"Nice to get a few today and to have the partnership with Davy was awesome.<\/p>\n

"I've played here a lot and I've missed out a lot, so it was nice to cash in."<\/p>\n

Marsh and Warner brought up their tons with successive deliveries, although with very different methods.<\/p>\n

Warner worked a single down towards deep mid-on, before Marsh bludgeoned a boundary.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Warner celebrated his ton with his customary leap, which Marsh looked to emulate.<\/p>\n

"I tend not to celebrate too hard when I get my hundreds normally, but there was a fair bit of emotion in that one today," he said.<\/p>\n

"World Cups are special and to score a World Cup hundred is something I'm really proud of.<\/p>\n
