{"id":34042,"date":"2021-02-12T07:17:06","date_gmt":"2021-02-12T08:17:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/?p=34042"},"modified":"2021-02-12T09:19:54","modified_gmt":"2021-02-12T09:19:54","slug":"schedule-announced-for-pakistan-south-africa-limited-overs-series-in-april","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/?p=34042","title":{"rendered":"Schedule announced for Pakistan-South Africa limited-overs series in April"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin: 5px 5% 10px 5%\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/arysports.tv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/PAKvSA.jpg\" width=\"742\" height=\"486\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" \/><\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Karachi: Pakistan and South Africa will once again lock horns in April for the limited-overs series in Centurion and Johannesburg, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed today.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>PCB announced the schedule where Pakistan will play three ODIs which will be part of ICC Men\u2019s Cricket World Cup Super League. Both sides\u00a0will also play four T20Is<\/p>\n<p>The Men in Green will\u00a0depart for Johannesburg on 26 March and will play the three ODIs on 2, 4 and 7 April. Centurion will stage the first and third ODIs, while the second match will be played in Johannesburg.<\/p>\n<p>After the 50-over matches, Pakistan and South Africa will feature in four T20Is. Originally, three T20Is were scheduled, but on the request of Cricket South Africa, the PCB has agreed to play an additional match in the shortest format.<\/p>\n<p>Johannesburg will host the opening two matches on 10 and 12 April, while Pretoria will be the venue for the third and fourth T20Is.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Director &#8211; International Cricket, Zakir Khan:<\/strong> \u201cWe are delighted to help assist our fellow member in these challenging times. We all have a collective responsibility to look after the game and its welfare together as ICC Members.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSouth Africa and Pakistan&#8217;s relationship is a long-standing and mutually valued one, and it was an easy decision for us to accommodate their request. We\u2019re all looking forward to a successful tour.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>CSA Director of Cricket, Graeme Smith:<\/strong> \u201cWe are delighted to finally confirm the dates and full schedule for Pakistan\u2019s white-ball tour to South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPakistan have proved their status over the years as one of the most dangerous limited-overs teams and I\u2019m sure they will give the Proteas a stern test on the Highveld. We will also have the much-anticipated \u2018Betway Pink ODI\u2019 take place during the tour and that is something further to look forward to for the players, the fans and all those associated with this iconic day.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are grateful to the PCB for agreeing to our request within a short period of time to increase the length of the trip by adding in a fourth T20, which will give us some much-needed additional international content.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Note, this tour was initially scheduled to take place in October 2020\u00a0but was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
