Kane Cornes<\/a> believes Melbourne<\/a> has serious culture issues as reports emerge regarding troubled midfielder Clayton Oliver<\/a>'s bizarre training habit.<\/p>\n

According to News Corp reports, Oliver has been accused of bending the windscreen wipers of parked cars on a side street adjacent to the MCG following an off-season training session at Yarra Park.<\/p>\n

The report claims that one of Oliver's teammates was forced to apologise for the act after one annoyed resident "confronted" the 26-year-old.<\/p>\n

Claims surrounding Oliver's habit follow what has been a tumultuous off-season for the four-time best and fairest winner, who was rushed to hospital last week<\/a> and has been asked to improve his behaviour by the club.<\/p>\n

\ufeffAccording to Cornes, the drama surrounding Oliver as well as the suspension of Joel Smith over a positive cocaine test<\/a> are more signs of Melbourne's poor culture.<\/p>\n

"Your culture isn't that strong," he told SEN.<\/p>\n

"We've seen what has happened with Clayton Oliver and that was clearly a pointed message to Clayton Oliver.<\/p>\n

"More so on the field as well. I thought their discipline late in the year really let them down. They've had issues with Steven May and Jake Melksham and all that sort of stuff.<\/p>\n

"Since the premiership, I don't know if their culture has been that strong. You can't continue to put your head in the sand. Issues like this now come to the surface.<\/p>\n

"There's something going on at Melbourne and it's not something that the fans would be that proud of, I wouldn't have thought."<\/p>\n

Cornes expressed his disappointment at Smith's actions and accused Melbourne of \ufeff"sweeping things under the carpet".<\/p>\n

"You (Smith) are a fringe-ish type player. It's round 23, Melbourne is as good a shot as any at that stage to win a premiership and this is what you're getting up to on a Wednesday night," he said.<\/p>\n
