India all-rounder Hardik Pandya's suspected ankle injury sustained in the ICC World Cup<\/a> game against Bangladesh<\/a> is \u201cnothing major,\u201d skipper Rohit Sharma said.<\/p>\n

Pandya was bowling the ninth over of the innings when he tried to stop a straight drive by Litton Das, twisting his left ankle and tumbling over.<\/p>\n

He got up and tried walking but fell back to the ground as the Indian medical team rushed in.<\/p>\n

Pandya did not bowl or field for the remainder of India's seven-wicket win, and he was not padded up while India chased down Bangladesh\u2019s total.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe pulled up a bit sore and there is nothing major to worry (about),\u201d Sharma said. \u201cWe will see how he pulls up (tomorrow) and then plan on how to go forward.\u201d<\/p>\n

Play was held up as Pandya received treatment. He got up again and tried a practice run-up before consulting with Sharma and walking off.<\/p>\n

Pandya was then sent to a local hospital for scans.<\/p>\n

The fans at the MCA Stadium cheered as Virat Kohli<\/a> bowled the remaining deliveries in the over.<\/p>\n

Bangladesh batted first and managed to get through their 50 overs, putting on 9-256 with opener Das top-scoring on 66.<\/p>\n

Ravindra Jadeja continued his superb tournament to finish with the best figures of 2-38 from 10 overs.<\/p>\n

India never looked to be in too much trouble, first losing a wicket at 1-88 when Sharma departed for 48.<\/p>\n

The skipper's wicket then brought Kohli to the crease who finished 103 not out off 97 balls as India chased down the total in 41.3 overs, only three wickets down.<\/p>\n

Pandya is a key member of India\u2019s team as the host nation attempts to win the competition for a third time.<\/p>\n
