Jack Ginnivan<\/a>'s "professionalism" has once again come under the spotlight after his trade to Hawthorn<\/a> was made official.<\/p>\n

Ginnivan, who played in Collingwood<\/a>'s premiership side last month, was dealt to the Hawks along with pick 39, a future second round pick and a future fourth round pick, with the Magpies receiving pick 33 in this year's draft along with a future second-rounder and a future third-rounder from Hawthorn.<\/p>\n

Despite having a premiership medal around his neck at just 20 years of age, Ginnivan has attracted plenty of criticism through his young career, having already been involved in a number of controversies.<\/p>\n

One such controversy came on the eve of Collingwood's victorious grand final, when he attended the Moonee Valley races the night before the clash against Brisbane.\ufeff<\/p>\n

\ufeffEssendon champion Matthew Lloyd, said it was time for Ginnivan to get serious about his career.<\/p>\n

"I think he's had his problems. He's got to work out how much he wants this career," he told 3AW.<\/p>\n

"He's won a premiership, but if Taylor Adams didn't get injured and (Daniel) McStay didn't get injured, I don't think he plays in that premiership team.<\/p>\n

"I think he worked a bit harder this year, but he's had that many wake-up calls at Collingwood.<\/p>\n

"It doesn't matter what club he's at, he's not going to fully reach his potential unless he improves in so many areas of professionalism at the AFL level."<\/p>\n

Ginnivan enjoyed a tremendous 2022 season, kicking 40 goals in 23 appearances, but managed just 12 goals in 14 games this season.<\/p>\n

He fell down Collingwood's forward line pecking order with the arrival of eventual Norm Smith Medal winner Bobby Hill, who kicked 33 goals in his first season at the club, including a bag of four in the grand final.<\/p>\n
