PARIS:\ufeff<\/strong> Argentina coach Michael Cheika has blasted tournament organisers for an accommodation issue he says will hurt his preparations for Saturday's (AEDT) Rugby World Cup<\/a> semi-final against New Zealand.<\/p>\n

Los Pumas advanced to their third World Cup semi by finishing over the top of Wales in a 29-17 quarter-final win in Marseille.<\/a><\/p>\n

\ufeffCheika had hoped to travel to Paris on Sunday to start preparations for the clash at Stade de France, but was told their hotel was not yet ready to cater for the squad.<\/p>\n

Argentina travelled to France's capital on Monday \ufeffinstead.<\/p>\n

"We asked them, we begged them, but they were too stubborn," the former Wallabies coach told reporters.<\/p>\n

"And the other team will already be in Paris waiting for their semi-final."<\/p>\n

The combative Australian added that it felt like the World Cup had been "made for the people in Paris" and said he "cannot implement the normal preparation phase in this short amount of time I have been given."<\/p>\n

Argentina will start as big underdogs against an All Blacks side that edged world No.1 Ireland in a 28-24 epic in Paris.<\/a><\/p>\n

Cheika \ufeffhas built his side up nicely following the meek 27-10 loss to 14 man England in the opener.<\/p>\n

"There were a lot of first time World Cuppers in there and they learned a lot from that game in terms of handling knockout footy \u2013 because every game since has been knockout footy," Cheika said.<\/p>\n

"One thing the team has always got is lots of fight. Even in that game against England we showed a lot of fight. Now we are in the top four, and anything can happen."<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, All Blacks hooker Dane Coles is desperate to avoid the pain of four years ago when the Kiwis were ambushed in the semis by Eddie Jones' England.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"I don't want to be playing for the third-fourth game, against Wales like we did in 2019,'' Coles told reporters.<\/p>\n

"That's kind of my motivation. It is a shit week, if I am being brutally honest, getting knocked out of a semi.''<\/p>\n

New Zealand thrashed Argentina in the Rugby Championship this year but have lost twice to Cheika's Pumas – in 2020 and 2022.<\/p>\n

"They caused the team a lot of hurt,'' Coles, a World Cup winner in 2015, said of the Pumas.<\/p>\n
