Radael Nadal has given his thoughts on the chaotic scenes that saw a spectator escorted out of his second-round Australian Open clash after they attacked the World No.2 in a sensational expletive tirade.<\/p>\n

Rod Laver Arena went into meltdown during Nadal's straight sets victory over Michael Mmoh when a female spectator was booted from the venue late in the second set<\/a> after appearing to call Nadal a "w–ker" and gave him the finger.<\/p>\n

Nadal was all smiles during the "chaos", as Aussie tennis great John Fitzgerald put it, but during his post-match press conference, poked some light fun at the unruly fan.<\/p>\n

"I don't know, maybe she took too much gin or tequila? I don't know," Nadal said to reporters when quizzed over the bizarre scenes.<\/p>\n

"But honestly was strange situation, but, yeah, funny at the same time. You know, sometimes there is people for everything around the world."<\/p>\n

"For me it was funny. Honestly, somebody doing the finger to me with, I don't know the reason, but was — yeah. I was surprised, yes, but at the same time was thinking, Poor girl. Because probably she was drunk or something like this. I don't know."<\/p>\n

Reports from the stands suggested the woman also yelled out "hurry up you OCD f—" to the Spaniard while he was attempting to serve out the second set.<\/p>\n

"A little bit of a disturbance there in the crowd," Aussie tennis great John Fitzgerald said as the madness unfolded courtside.<\/p>\n

"I couldn't hear the specific language, there was a little bit of ill will between two ladies.<\/p>\n

"Well there is one lady that is getting rather animated, she might be asked to leave, actually. I think she's having a crack at Rafa, I'm not sure why, she's the first person I've seen do that.<\/p>\n

"She's a bit inebriated I think, this is chaos. This is so unnecessary, it's just one individual that has made a complete goose out of themselves."<\/p>\n

The World No.2 was able to overcome the hiccup and power on to claim the match in straight sets 6-1 6-4 6-2.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
