Two American boxing legends have reacted to Tim Tszyu<\/a>'s emphatic unanimous points decision win over Brian Mendoza<\/a>, with one stating there's still plenty to improve on if he's to take on some of the world's best. \ufeff<\/p>\n

Following his victory, it appears only inevitable that Tszyu will battle with Jermell Charlo<\/a> in the future.<\/p>\n

Tszyu was given the WBO junior middleweight\ufeff title after Charlo was stripped due to his decision to fight Canelo Alvarez<\/a> in the super middleweight division.<\/p>\n

AS IT HAPPENED:<\/strong> Tszyu retains world title against Mendoza\ufeff<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Other names on his hitlist include Terence Crawford and Errol Spence Jnr.<\/p>\n

However, \ufeffformer world champion Shawn Porter believes there needs to be more from Tszyu if he is to take on the likes of Crawford or even Alvarez in the future.<\/p>\n

"That Tim Tszyu does not beat Terence Crawford, he needs more defence," he said on Main Event.<\/p>\n

"And I think he needs more footwork, those are attributes you've just got to have against Terence Crawford. And I think Canelo, he's not on Canelo's radar, so we don't really need to talk about that fight but I think at 168, they would possibly meet at 160, I doubt it.<\/p>\n

"If Tim goes up to 168 he's going to lack the power and strength to fend off Canelo for 12 consecutive rounds.<\/p>\n

"Outside of that, you've guys have got a real champion here."\ufeff<\/p>\n

Constantly posting throughout the fight, world champion trainer and ESPN commentator Teddy Atlas was impressed by Tszyu's performance.<\/p>\n
