PARIS:\ufeff<\/strong> They say revenge is a dish best cold and Sam Cane delivered the ultimate riposte to Peter O'Mahony at Stade de France.<\/p>\n

Ireland enforcer O'Mahony famously called the All Blacks captain "a shit Richie \ufeffMcCaw" last year<\/a> as the men in green pulled off a historic series win in New Zealand.<\/p>\n

Cane was reminded of the vicious sledge after his superb performance in the nail-biting 28-24 win over the world's No.1 side.<\/a><\/p>\n

He will never be a McCaw but Cane now has a real shot at leading his nation to a record fourth World Cup title.<\/p>\n

New Zealand will meet Michael Cheika's Argentina in Saturday's (AEDT) first semi-final in Paris.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"I think Sam's made for these sort of Test matches, personally," All Blacks coach Ian Foster said.<\/p>\n

Like Cane, Foster has come under heavy fire in New Zealand as the iconic team's lofty standards slipped in recent seasons.<\/p>\n
