T\ufeffhink About It has taken out The Everest<\/a> at Royal Randwick on Saturday, hauling in $7 million of the $20 million prizemoney pool.<\/p>\n

The horse was the favourite to win the world's richest turf race and did so in a tight battle, conquering the prestigious 1200-metre Sydney event.<\/p>\n

Think About It, jockeyed by Sam Clipperton and trained by Joseph Pride, led home the second-placed I Wish I Win and third-placed Private Eye.\ufeff<\/p>\n

It was a particularly successful race for Pride, who's the trainer of Think About It and Private Eye.<\/p>\n

"It is unbelievable, it is unbelievable," Pride told Seven as he soaked up glory.<\/p>\n

\"Think<\/p>\n

"They both ran terrific, and I was pretty confident coming into the race that not only would my two run well, but Moody [I Wish I Win trainer Peter Moody] was the … only danger.<\/p>\n

"So, it doesn't really matter at the end but I thought they were the three and, sure enough, they fought it out."<\/p>\n

Clipperton told Seven he was "blown away".\ufeff<\/p>\n

"Had such a nice run in the race and travelled so well," he added.<\/p>\n

"I'm like, 'This stuff doesn't happen'. It just went too perfect. I guess that's what very good horses do. Maybe even champions. They eliminate the opposition. Won easy.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffI'm just so privileged to be in a position of riding this horse.<\/p>\n

"I had my apprenticeship here in Randwick with [legendary trainer] Ron Quinton and I know every blade of grass of this joint.<\/p>\n

\"Jockey<\/p>\n

"If you had have told me when I started that I was going to win an Everest, well, A, The Everest didn't exist, and now it's exploded into one of the most incredible races in the world.<\/p>\n

"I'm just incredibly proud … Not every day is like this; they're few and far in between. I wish I could describe what I'm feeling right now … I'm going to pass out."<\/p>\n
