LOUISVILLE, Ky. \u2014 Unbeaten No. 1 Buford kept rolling and most everything else remained the same in this week\u2019s NFCA Summer\/Fall High School Top 25 Coaches Poll.<\/p>\n

The reigning Georgia 7A champion (24-0) Wolves defeated Collins Hill, 9-1 Tuesday, in their only action over the past seven days. Buford plays Dacula later today in a Region 8-7A contest, having defeated the Falcons by a combined 24-2 margin in their two earlier meetings.<\/p>\n

A second loss in two weeks couldn\u2019t keep Gretna on Buford\u2019s heels any longer, as the (30-3) Dragons fell behind Holy Family (22-1) to the No. 3 spot. New No. 2 Holy Family rolled by Rocky Mountain, 16-3, in its lone game last Friday.<\/p>\n

Oklahoma state titlist Caddo (39-2), which defeated Red Oak, 1-0, in last Saturday\u2019s Class A final remains fourth, while Eaton (22-1), a 16-0 victor over Brush last Thursday, rounds out the first five.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, new No. 16 Arvada West (19-3) moved ahead of Columbine (19-4) among Colorado schools, and Iowa 2A state champion Regina Catholic (30-8) leapfrogged the Nebraska duo of Papillion-LaVista (25-8) and Lincoln East (29-8) into the No. 22 position.<\/p>\n

State rankings submitted by the 2023 NFCA High School Steering Committee<\/b><\/a>\u00a0are used to compile the\u00a0NFCA Summer\/Fall High School Top 25 Coaches Poll. Teams are chosen based on performance, roster quality, strength of schedule, and active NFCA membership. Five states \u2014 Colorado, Georgia, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Missouri \u2014 play a fall fastpitch schedule, while Iowa recently completed its summer season.<\/p>\n
